Nice to Meet You!

A mixed Black woman with curly brown hair sits on a green couch, smiling, wearing a white top, olive cardigan, and jewelry, in a room with houseplants.

I’m Lauren (she/her), call me LT if you’d like!

I’m your Los Angeles, born and raised, Mixed Black therapist who enjoys long walks on the beach, a thick fantasy romance book, and unpacking the “whys” of it all with my clients! Working with me, you can expect to laugh, cry, uncover hard truths, and feel a little called out during the process (beware of my eyebrow she has a mind of her own).

In my work, I support Black and Multicultural women as well as ALL who identify as intersectional in conquering anxiety, depression, trauma and more in order to lead a life that is authentic and fulfilling.

My therapeutic approach is one of collaboration, connection, trust, & respect. My office is an affirming space for you to feel seen, heard, and understood while uncovering your fullest potential. As a team, we’ll address & overcome the barriers blocking you from living the life you deserve!

The goal is not just to survive, but to thrive! In our work together, I will never insist I know the best way, but rather walk beside you, providing support & care while you discover your own path to fulfillment.

As a Mindfulness Educator trained in Brainspotting therapy, I believe in incorporating a mindfulness practice (tailored to you) into our therapeutic work to strengthen your ability to remain present and grounded, in therapy & beyond.

Me Outside of Therapy

As a therapist who works with trauma, my self-care is paramount to staying present with you! In my spare time, here’s what I love to do:

  • Reading romance novels (if the love interest has wings, all the better)

  • Salsa dancing

  • Strength training

  • Volunteering/Mentorship: I’m currently a District Director for Sigma Kappa Sorority providing targeted DEIA support for collegiate chapters

  • Enjoying a gorgeous patio in the SoCal sunshine!

  • Waiting until a show completes entirely and then binge watching it in a weekend wrapped up like a burrito

  • My OWN therapy! I believe every therapist should have their own experience of therapy and healing. Practice what you preach!
