Anxiety Therapy

Trauma informed anxiety support in Los Angeles for the chronic overthinker in us all!

Is your mind racing? Feeling on edge? Constantly thinking about the worst-case scenario? You are absolutely not alone!

I work with clients throughout Los Angeles and provide online therapy across California & Florida for people who feel just like you do. People that work with me are often navigating chronic stress, burnout, and emotional overwhelm.

Do I Even Have Anxiety?

I won’t be able to say for sure, without getting to know you, but here’s a few common experiences for folks with anxiety:

  • Constant overthinking or second-guessing (sometimes, resulting in difficulty making decisions efficiently)

  • Feeling emotionally overwhelmed (can’t really pin down exactly what you’re feeling, you just know it’s a LOT)

  • Difficulty resting or not feeling rested when you do (I often hear “I feel guilty when I try to have ‘me time’”)

  • High-functioning anxiety (you’re still getting things done, but you might be screaming on the inside while you do it)

  • Feeling irritable more often than not

  • Racing heart

How Can Therapy Help?

In therapy, you will learn mindfulness strategies to connect with the anxious part of your body and gain tools to navigate the psychological roots of your personal "brand” of anxious cycles! Rather than focusing on “fixing” symptoms, therapy focuses on understanding emotional patterns, increasing nervous system regulation, building self-compassion and insight and creating meaningful, lasting change. You can expect to:

  • Recognize patterns driving anxiety

  • Strengthen your skills in nervous system regulation

  • Reduce overwhelm

  • Develop self-trust

  • Increase tolerance for the unknown

Culturally Attuned Support

As a Black therapist with a passion for supporting marginalized communities, I work from the understanding that many emotional struggles are adaptive responses to lived experiences. Anxiety can often stem from past trauma (learn more about online trauma therapy here). I’m a therapist who values conversations that include the -isms (racism, capitalism, sexism, etc). My room is safe for those of marginalized identity—all of them. These things impact us: my job is to provide safety so you can process them to keep going! I believe it’s incredibly important to feel seen, heard and understood in therapy completely. Research shows the greatest predictor in therapeutic success is (surprisingly) NOT the fancy interventions (although we will do those too), but in the level of trust and connection in the therapeutic relationship. As marginalized people, our experiences both domestically and globally impact our wellbeing in very unique ways; therapy with the right clinician allows you to explore those in an incredibly authentic and healing way.

Rest assured, your journey is your own. I’ll never tell you how to live “the right way”, it is merely my job to walk beside you and help you figure out what “right” means for you! As your clinician, I’ll provide all of the knowledge and reflection I can to help you reach your highest potential. But truly, you already possess the knowledge to grow, I just help you sort it all out!
